Committee Charge

The principal charge of the Committee on International Education is to represent the Los Angeles Division in matters concerned with International Education.

Membership
The committee, with full consideration for campus diversity, consists of nine members: five appointed faculty members with a vote; two ex officio members without a vote (the Faculty Director and the Administrative Director of the International Education Office); and two student representatives (1 undergraduate and 1 graduate).

Interactions with Administration
Primarily interacts with the administrative branch via the ex officio members (the campus Faculty Director and the Administrative Director of the International Education Office) and the Vice Provost and the Associate Vice Provost for International Studies. The Committee on International Education also interacts with the UC Education Abroad Program and the University Committee on International Education.

The Committee on International Education typically meets twice per quarter.
