Limited funds are available for support of the intercampus exchange of academic senate members and advanced graduate students for study and research on other University of California campuses. Grants may be made to assist with travel, living expenses and research costs.  Funds will not be awarded to support travel for the purposes of presenting lectures or seminars.  This grant is only available to individuals from the University of California at Los Angeles.

To apply for Intercampus Exchange Program funding, please submit application to the Council on Research.  Be sure to include the following information: 

• Research project description;

• Campus to be visited;

• Date(s) of travel;

• Number of days involved;

• Estimate of expenses (travel and subsistence).

Applications from graduate students and postdoctoral fellows must be endorsed by their supervising senate faculty and department Chair.  The Council on Research does not provide support for expenses incurred by graduate students in performing their dissertation research.  Graduate students must be traveling to accompany and assist eligible senate faculty on the faculty member’s research project. 

Only one Intercampus Exchange Program award will be made to any individual in a fiscal year (July 1 - June 30).  An application must be submitted and approved prior to travel date. Requests for funding after the trip has begun or been completed will not be considered.
